The Miami Beach Condo Journal revealed its Developer News of the Week, after Terra Group, a prominent Miami development firm, released plans for an ambitious new project in Coconut Grove. The proposed project, Grove at Grand Bay, is a collaboration between multiple architecture firms, and stands to leave an impressive impact on the Miami skyline.

Miami Beach Condo Journal’s Developer News of the Week is an announcement from Miami-area real estate developers Terra Group of their innovative new building, Grove at Grand Bay. The project is a collaboration between an eminent landscape architect, Raymond Jungles, and Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), an award-winning architecture and design conglomerate. In addition to the structure’s impressive design features, the developers hope to make it the first LEED-certified building in Coconut Grove.

Developer Terra Group originally envisioned the project as capturing an “aerie with a unique sense of place”. BIG, the architects responsible for the project’s buildings, translated that into two towering glass edifices floating around a central courtyard. The 20-floor buildings will house ninety-six South Beach Condos for sale, all with 12-foot ceilings and full-length glass windows for panoramic views; Grove at Grand Bay will be the first Florida development to feature windows like these. The courtyard between the buildings will feature garden landscaping designed by Raymond Jungles. The residents of Grove at Grand Bay will enjoy such amenities as private butler service, wrap around terraces, and rooftop swimming pools on both buildings.

The designer of the residence spaces, Bjarke Ingels Group, is led by Danish architect Bjarke Ingels. Ingels has won multiple awards for his designs, most recently the Wall Street Journal’s “Innovator of the Year in Architecture” Award. The architect of the outdoor spaces, Raymond Jungles, has designed many acclaimed outdoor spaces in Miami, including the grounds at Lincoln Road and the rooftop garden crowning the New World Symphony. Architectural and planning services are provided by Nichols, Brosch, Wrust, Wolfe + Associates.

Grove at Grand Bay will be built on the lot which formerly housed the Grand Bay Hotel. The building will be just minutes from the airport, downtown, St Regis Bal Harbour condos, Miami Beach, and the Coconut Grove district.
