Our operation overwhelmingly appeals to the Internet generation that demands to know everything, right away. Our goal is to eventually have donations and expenditures updated live on our website as they are made
PHOENIX, AZ (PRWEB) February 08, 2012
Test PAC has achieved a major milestone within the early stages of organization. The PAC announced today its request to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to be recognized as a political action committee has been approved. The organization will operate under the name Test PAC, Please Ignore as a non-connected PAC.
As a non-party, non-qualified committee, the PAC must report all donations and expenditures to the FEC quarterly to be audited. The next quarterly deadline is April 15. Disclosure of this information can be found through Test PAC’s website or through the FEC.
Organization Treasurer Andy Posterick has made a commitment to go above and beyond what is required by the FEC to maintain a transparent operation, “We want to redefine what it means to be a political organization. Our operation overwhelmingly appeals to the Internet generation that demands to know everything, right away. Our goal is to eventually have donations and expenditures updated live on our website as they are made.”
Test PAC has grown from a small community of voices on Reddit to a full-fledged political action committee in just a matter of months—a testament to the groups’ dedication. Ran exclusively by volunteers, they are on the verge of launching a major campaign in Texas’ 21st Congressional District against Rep. Lamar Smith. Along with innovative strategies and grassroots organization, the organization hopes to make an appeal to voters to defeat the candidate who introduced the controversial Internet censorship bill known as SOPA.
“You don’t need to be a millionaire to join the political conversation,” said Chairman Jeromie Whalen, “every day people deserve the opportunity to push back against the hoards of money being thrown at Washington and in elections around the country.”
Now with the official recognition of the FEC, Test PAC has the ability to directly influence Congressional races like that of Rep. Lamar Smith.
