SAT and ACT Boot Camps Raise Scores and Lower College Costs

Top Test Prep team designs an affordable alternative to traditional SAT and ACT courses, effectively reducing college planning costs.

We're excited to offer an innovative approach to traditional test preparation. Top Test Prep is continually striving to improve student test scores and we saw the need to offer an innovative program at a fraction of the cost

St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) April 30, 2008 -- Top Test Prep, the test prep and admissions company, announced today that they have developed a unique alternative to traditional test prep services: SAT and ACT boot camps. These boot camps will allow students and parents a faster, quicker and less expensive alternative to test prep offered by companies like Princeton Review.

The SAT and ACT Boot Camps will give students access to top instructors, full length practice exams, and on-going tutoring. The Boot Camps are interactive, demanding forums that require students to think outside of the traditional SAT and ACT "box". The Boot Camps are taught using the Socratic Method, a style often used in American law schools. The Socratic Method requires students fully prepare and directly engage with their instructor.

According to Ross Blankenship, Top Test Prep Director and CEO, many test prep companies are offering their services at outrageous prices, without giving either personalized instruction or innovative teaching methods.

"We're excited to offer an innovative approach to traditional test preparation. Top Test Prep is continually striving to improve student test scores and we saw the need to offer an innovative program at a fraction of the cost," said Blankenship. When approached by one parent who was unable to afford many lengthier SAT courses, Blankenship decided to develop a curriculum for more intensive, less expensive tutoring. The boot camps solve parents' financial burdens with ever-increasing tuition costs. Full scholarships are available to two enrolled students in every boot camp.

"When students enroll in the boot camps, they receive more than just a test prep book; these students build their confidence and gain valuable test insight," ended Blankenship. The first of the two-day boot camps will be offered May 31 and June 1st at Washington University in St. Louis and will include a free admissions counseling seminar.
