Houston, TX (PRWEB) February 8, 2010
Bounce Energy, a full-service retailer of electricity in Texas, announced they will pledge financial support to the American Red Cross for the ongoing relief efforts in Haiti. For every new sign up featuring a fixed rate plan of 6 months or longer, Bounce Energy will donate $5 on the customer’s behalf.
“Millions of lives were devastated by the earthquake in Haiti last month, which has resulted in urgent need for food, medical care, water, sanitation facilities, and supplies for temporary shelters for the victims,” said Robbie Wright, CEO of Bounce Energy. “While we encourage customers to donate to the Red Cross themselves, we know times are tight and consumers looking to switch electricity providers are generally looking for lower rates and to save money. This campaign is a way for both Bounce Energy and consumers to help Haiti and a way for consumers to take advantage of our low fixed rate plans.”
Eligible Bounce Energy rate plans include:
Many Americans have generously donated towards the Haiti relief efforts already, including the popular campaign “Cell Phones Save Lives” where millions of dollars have been raised through $10 donations when you text “Haiti” to 90999.
Currently, the American Red Cross is encouraging donations to the International Response Fund that targets international crises for relief and long-term support and supplies, or directly to the Haiti Relief and Development fund that will help with the recovery efforts.
