It has been almost a week since this explosion, and the fertilizer plant has yet to acknowledge any responsibility, offer any temporary assistance, or even attempt to contact the people whose lives have been devastated by this explosion.
West, Texas (PRWEB) April 22, 2013
A single, working mother who along with her minor child lost everything in the West fertilizer plant explosion has filed the first lawsuit against Adair Grain, Inc. d/b/a West Fertilizer Co. The plaintiff and her minor child "lost all of their worldly possessions" and the plaintiff "suffered physical as well as emotional injuries" in the explosion according to the lawsuit filed Monday in the 414th District Court, McLennan County, Texas, Case No. 2013-1653-5.
Their attorney, Randy Roberts with Roberts & Roberts law firm in Tyler, Texas, spent the past weekend helping the mother and her child put their life back together. Roberts explained the quick legal action by observing that "It has been almost a week since this explosion, and the fertilizer plant has yet to acknowledge any responsibility, offer any temporary assistance, or even attempt to contact the people whose lives have been devastated by this explosion. Immediate action was required."
The mother is getting moved into another apartment, getting another car, and placing her child in another school in the coming week. Roberts observed, however, that “there are many people in West who are not as fortunate and whose lives cannot be put back together as easily.” Roberts encourages everyone to contribute whatever they can to the disaster relief organizations who are helping the people of West.
