Texas law enforcement agencies benefit from InterAct’s Online RMS solution.

Over 100 law enforcement agencies in Texas are now utilizing InterAct Online RMS, a Cloud-based solution providing affordable, anywhere, anytime access via a web browser. No special hardware or technical expertise is required and a typical agency can sign up and begin accessing InterAct Online RMS in as little as 14 days without needing to purchase new equipment or install any software. “The Online RMS implementation process was simple and straight forward,” said Michael Vela, Chief of Palmhurst Police Department. “The application is very user friendly, much better than some other systems that I have used in the past. This is the first system we have implemented that was up and running the day after training. We are saving a ton of money and the system is awesome! I love it!”

Roel Bermea, Chief of Penitas Police Department agreed, “We were concerned about the short timeline we had to get up and running but the implementation process was simple and straight forward. The Online RMS Solutions' Operations, Training and Support Organization were very helpful in getting our system implemented quickly.”

The InterAct Online RMS training program is flexible and user-friendly. “I really enjoyed the online remote training. I was able to participate in the training course without leaving my office.” said Ron Blackwell, Chief of Southmayd Police Department.

InterAct Online RMS is convenient and easy to use with processing wizards, integrated TIBRS edits and validations built directly into the product. This functionality ensures that incident reports created in the application will pass TIBRS verification, eliminating the hassle and staff hours spent completing UCR reports while at the same time improving the quality and accuracy of the data being reported. “The implementation of this Records Management System is very timely,” said Chief Bermea. “This RMS will improve our ability to search for information locally and outside of our region. It will minimize the time our officers are spending handling paperwork.”

Palmhurst PD, Penitas PD and Southmayd PD are participants in a statewide data-sharing initiative designed to improve the effectiveness of the Texas criminal justice community by providing for the timely exchange of reliable information. InterAct Online RMS incorporates key Texas reporting and data-sharing initiatives as part of the core product, providing integration with TIBRS, TDEx, LEAP, and LEADRS.
