Dallas, TX (Vocus) September 20, 2010
As a way to support the Texas Society of CPAs’ strategic objective of promoting the profession and image of the CPA as a trusted and valued advisor, TSCPA developed a video to be shown to Texas students and educators to emphasize that Texas CPAs come from diverse backgrounds, and that a career in accounting provides a variety of career options and benefits.
Students are looking for educational opportunities to broaden horizons and launch into top careers. Studying accounting and becoming a licensed CPA provides them with numerous career opportunities. The CPA profession has diverse members from a many different backgrounds.
The video was developed with input from a task force of members from the society’s Diversity and Inclusiveness, Relations with Educational Institutions, and Career Awareness Coordinating Committees.
