Hungry fair-goers will decend on Thai House Express at the Castro Street Fair this weekend.

Thai House Express will offer a chill environment where good food arrives in minutes so people can refresh themselves and get back out on the street and enjoy the celebration.

As San Francisco Bay Area residents and visitors prepare themselves for the Castro Street Fair festivities, Thai House Express is prepared to feed them. The event is the busiest day of the year for Thai House Express, and the restaurant is determined to continue its tradition of serving tasty Thai dishes in a flash to fair-goers.

“Thai House Express will offer a chill environment where good food arrives in minutes so people can refresh themselves and get back out on the street and enjoy the celebration,” said Paul Meeriyagerd, manager of Thai House Express. “We also do a tremendous amount of take-out business over the entire weekend, so most of our staff is on hand to make sure we keep up.”

The Castro Street Fair was started by Harvey Milk, the city supervisor whose life and death was depicted in the 2008 film "Milk," in 1974. It is one of the oldest street celebrations in San Francisco, and it comes just one week after the big Folsom Street Fair in South of Market.

“We served a large Folsom Street Fair crowd last weekend--and many visitors have stayed the week so they can enjoy both street fairs,” said Meeriyagerd. “Big parties have been coming in without reservations, and we’ve been able to seat them and serve them quickly, so we are ready.”
