Thai Airways was recently voted third in "The Best Airlines Worldwide 2009" category from the SmartTravelAsia.com travel magazine poll. In addition to that honor, THAI also ranked third as "The Best Business Class Worldwide" and second in "The Best Cabin Service Worldwide".
The survey, taken between May and July, measured overall brand perceptions of staff, service, in-flight comfort, seat comfort, legroom, in-flight entertainment and business features by readers. Voters said that THAI's brand image has continued to strengthen especially in the crucial service area. They were also impressed by the staff's ready-smile, the strong Southeast Asian network, quick meal services, and generally attentive cabin service. One voter commented that THAI's in-flight service was "quite elegant and more consistent in warmth when compared to other Asian carriers."
