The Marketing College Gets Their One Hundredth Student

The Marketing College has just gained their one hundredth student. Even though The Marketing College has only been around for a short space of time they are quickly expanding around the UK helping people from all backgrounds retrain as Digital Marketing Professionals.

Although in essence The Marketing College has been around since 2000 it was not officially setup until the middle of 2008. This was when a number of Digital Marketing Agencies and Recruitment Companies saw the potential The College had and decided to invest and support it.

The Marketing College helps individuals from different backgrounds have new careers in the digital marketing world whilst also helping to address the industries massive skills shortage.

So why is there a skills shortage of Digital Marketing Professionals? Well there are a number of reasons, some of the main reasons are summarised below:

# There are not enough new entrants into the Internet Marketing Profession to meet the ever rising demand.
# The Internet Marketing industry is set to triple in size over the next 5 years.
# The shortage is set to worsen as businesses of all sizes go digital, online marketing spend increases, more Internet platforms and technologies are developed and more households get faster Internet connections.
# Nothing is being done to attract and train people to enter the industry which means the shortage will continue to grow.

Because there is such a huge skills shortage it means that there are great opportunities for anyone looking for a new career. The Marketing College has proved that it is possible to take someone with no previous experience, get them trained and certified and then get them into employment.

The College has helped large numbers of people from all walks of life change career and enter well paid jobs or start their own business. In fact The College has just reached its one hundredth student. That is quite a feet in such a short space of time and complete testament to the quality of the training and the work placement programme.
