Prime Care, a Sussex company dedicated to the provision of support and care to older people and adults in their own homes, has been awarded with a new contract by the East Sussex County Council

According to UK Knack Group, they have won a total of 7 contracts in recent tendering processes for the provision of homecare services within the Adult Social Care Department of the County Council.

In order to be able to cope with the new demand, Prime Care is going to recruit hundreds of care workers. They will provide their services to the residents in Saltdean, Newhaven, Peacehaven, Eastbourne, Seaford, Hastings and Bexhill over the next 4 years. At the moment, Prime Care employs 200 staff at their bases in Sussex.

“We welcome this great news” said the Managing Director of The UK Knack Group. “The creation of new jobs is what our economy needs in order to get out of the crisis. We are very happy to hear that hundreds of jobs will be offered in the East Sussex area within the next few years”.

In order to start the recruiting and training process, two new staff have been recruited – a training coordinator (Becky Savage) and Personnel Coordinator (Sharan Larkin).

“These are difficult times” commented the Managing Director of UK Knack Group. “Local authorities are under great pressure to manage well their budget and control their expenditure and at the same time maintain the services they provide. It is difficult to get the right balance, but companies such as Prime Care make the task much easier”.
