The Magazine Group, the quality leading custom media company, has launched TMG Online Video , a new division.
TMG Online Video offers a robust vehicle to extend content to the web - and a way for clients to differentiate themselves by creating their own custom video news networks that feature high quality programming and incremental advertising revenue opportunities.
TMG Online Video kicks off with new video segments for ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership, "This Week in Associations ," an online video program that focuses on timely topics of interest to ASAE members. The 3-4 minute network quality segments feature news worthy topics and compelling interviews with thought leaders.
"We are honored to launch TMG Online Video with ASAE, one of the top organizations in the world," said Jane Ottenberg, President of The Magazine Group. "To us, online video is the most engaging method of communication for organizations since the invention of the magazine. Anyone can host or post a video to YouTube but our experience and recent studies show that quality makes for a better revenue-generating business model."
"Our members are increasingly relying on online video to get their news and information throughout the workday," said ASAE and the Center for Association Leadership President and CEO John H. Graham IV, CAE. 'This Week in Associations' is a powerful communications tool that provides relevant and timely issues to our viewers with network-quality production." Graham adds, "The Magazine Group's work and overall professionalism has been top-notch from start to finish. We are very pleased with this product and look forward to continued success in this new venture."
According to PEW Internet & American Life Project, online video consumption has grown dramatically. 57% of all adults - 76% when the advertiser-coveted 18-29-year-old segment is isolated - consume online video on a regular basis. And, the statistics are expected to double by 2010. With so many watching, online video is an important communications tool and a welcomed new source of advertiser revenue.
But options and production values are not all equal in the minds of advertisers or key stakeholders. For example, PEW reports that 62% of viewers prefer professionally-produced video. Additionally, a new study from Ipsos MediaCT finds that user-generated videos claim only 4% of online video ad dollars today. The Magazine Group, the leader in quality custom media, launched its new division to help its clients make sense of it all and to turn online video into a strategic asset.
TMG Online Video, headquartered in The Magazine Group's Washington, DC offices, offers a turnkey custom solution that includes pre-production and scripting, professional news talent, and quality production. Production is overseen by Kathleen Drew, a veteran of ABC News, and features a stable of network-experienced on-camera talent who are matched to each client's project.
The division specializes in producing custom video content, online video interviews, video news releases, and video news for conferences - all archived for on-demand viewing.
