Customer engagement specialist The Pohly Company received three awards at the 2008 Pearl Awards dinner on November 13, 2008. The Pearl Awards, created by the Custom Publishing Council, recognize the custom publishing industry's best publications and Web sites -- in a variety of categories that include excellence in journalism, graphic design, development and execution of integrated marketing strategies, and creative use of digital media.

The Pohly Company was honored with a silver award for Best Special Issue in the editorial category for its custom publication fresh, produced for Hannaford Supermarkets. In addition, VitalCare won two bronze awards for best distribution strategy and best achievement of corporate objectives in the digital category. VitalCare is produced for the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).
