One of America’s most popular musicals is being performed at venues throughout the United States, and has announced that The Book of Mormon tickets are now available for the Fisher Theatre productions in Detroit. It will be performed there from March 12-24.

The Book of Mormon tickets are now available at for the shows taking place at the Fisher Theatre in Detroit.

Feb. 20, 2013 – The Book of Mormon tickets are now available at for the shows taking place at the Fisher Theatre in Detroit. The popular musical will take place there 16 times from March 12-24. There will be performances from Tuesday-Saturday at 8 p.m. and on Sundays at 7:30 p.m. Matinees will also take place on both weekend days at 2 p.m. The demand for seats for each of these shows is expected to be very high.

This musical impressively received nine Tony Awards at the 2011 show, including one for Best Musical. The others were for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical, Best Direction of a Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score, Best Scenic Design, Best Orchestrations, Best Lighting Design and Best Sound Design. It also claimed Best Musical Theater Album accolades at the 2012 Grammy Awards.

The Fisher Theatre is part of the Fisher Building, a skyscraper that was built in 1928. The theatre seats 2,089, and it was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1989. It served primarily as a venue for vaudeville and the playing of movies from its opening until it reopened in 1961. The facility originally sat 3,500 before the renovation created a more intimate atmosphere. Several Broadway shows have been performed here.

This impressive production opened on Broadway in March 2011 at the historic Eugene O’Neill Theatre. It still plays there today, and tickets for all showings at this facility are also available at The first tour started with previews in Denver in August 2012 before officially opening in Los Angeles a month later. The first production in London’s West End has been scheduled for Feb. 25.

This musical was created by Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the masterminds behind “South Park,” and Robert Lopez. The three wanted to combine the style of “South Park” with a musical format and the culture of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It took seven years of development before the musical was finished.
