TheLadders.com Appoints Steve Berkowitz to its Board of Directors

TheLadders.com, the world's largest online platform for $100k+ jobs, announced today the appointment of Steve Berkowitz to its Board of Directors. Most recently, Berkowitz served as senior vice president of the Online Services Group at Microsoft where he was responsible for the marketing, sales and business development related to Microsoft's online services, including MSN.com and Windows Live.

As senior vice president of the Online Services Group at Microsoft, Berkowtiz oversaw Microsoft's entire online advertising business, including the advertising global sales force, Microsoft adCenter, Live Search, as well as all of its content and advertising supported channels including MSN and Windows Live. Prior to his role at Microsoft, Berkowitz was the CEO of Ask.com where he built the management team that orchestrated the turn around of the search engine, which is currently the second-largest pure search site on the Internet. Previously, Berkowitz was the president and COO of IDG Books, where he successfully expanded the "Dummies" series of books and diversified IDG's holdings establishing the company as a global consumer book brand.
