The Meadows trauma and addiction treatment center in Wickenburg, Ariz., recently announced Jean Collins, MSW, as the new Director of Workshops. Collins replaces Gail Yaw, LCSW, who is transitioning to the position of Director of Counseling for The Meadows.

Collins began her career at The Meadows in 1997 where she held a variety of positions, including primary counselor, family counselor, workshop facilitator, and intake interventionist. Collins has been in private practice for the past nine years and is excited to return to The Meadows as part of the clinical management team.

“Jean brings a wealth of expertise and passion to the position as an MSW, LISAC, CSAT, PIT, and EMDR trained therapist,” said Sean Walsh, Executive Director for The Meadows. “She is a natural fit to the great work that is already being done with our workshops.”

Attending a Meadows’ workshop offers an individual many benefits. A workshop can be a cost-effective alternative when long-term treatment is not an option. Individuals who cannot be away from their work or families for an extended period of time can attend a workshop and work on sensitive issues in a five-day concentrated format. This allows individuals to jump start their personal recovery by gaining insight into patterns and practicing new relational skills within a safe environment.
