The company issued the challenge this week on Facebook. The theme of the contest is Heroes vs. Villains. Fans from all over the country are invited to vote for their favorite entries, and The Orlando Vacation Store will be checking in to see who gets the most votes along the way: the “good guys” or the villains?
All entries must be in by Mon Oct 08, 2012. The winner will be chosen from the top 10 entries by a panel of expert judges, with the winner announced on October 11, 2012.
The first place winner will receive the title: TOVS Favorite Hero/Villain of 2012 as well as 2 nights in a 3 star hotel near Disney, 2 one day base tickets to a Disney park and 2 adult tickets to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. There are also second and third place prizes.
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is an annual event at Magic Kingdom. It focuses on guests getting dressed up and “trick or treating” with their favorite characters. The party is a celebration of all Disney characters, particularly the bad guys. There is a parade called “Boo to You!”, live Villain shows with full musical numbers, dance parties, candy and more. Towards the end of the night, guests can see the beautiful “Hallowishes” fireworks show and enjoy rides late into the night, as the park stays open until midnight.

Not frightening enough?
Halloween Horror Nights is a scarier alternative that also occurs around this time of year in Orlando and turns Universal Studios Orlando into a free-for all haunted house from which there is no escape. It features separate haunted houses, themed and decked out in amazing quality, mazes and scare zones. The hit Zombie-themed show The Walking Dead was announced as one of the themed mazes; this will be the first time that a television series is featured at Halloween Horror Nights, with its new season airing on October 14, right in the middle of the action.
