As a world-class thermoforming company, it’s critical we deliver production products that match the prototype samples our customers previously approved.
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) July 19, 2011
World-class thermoforming company for the medical, food, electronics and retail industries, Flexpak Corporation, announces new software capability to reduce machining time and enhance complex machining processes.
Using a new multi-cut software option, prototype molds can be reproduced precisely to production multi-cavity molds. With tolerances on the molds typically in thousandths of an inch, the new functionality eliminates any variables. The process of machining detailed undercuts was previously dependent on manual mills or handwork.
The multi-cut software provides the same capabilities found only on higher-end machines and toolpaths. The new software streamlines complex tooling and completes projects in exact detail.
“By producing molds matched exactly to the prototype design, we improve accuracy and save significant time,” said Tom Sipek, Flexpak’s director of tooling. “We’ve documented savings as much as 40 to 50 hours per mold.
“As a world-class thermoforming company, it’s critical we deliver production products that match the prototype samples our customers previously approved,” continued Sipek. “Streamlining this process means a quicker time to market and improved sales.”
