ThinkFree Develops Office Productivity Solution for Qualcomm's Snapdragon Platform : ThinkFree Mobile to Target Global Mobile Computing Market

ThinkFree (http://www.thinkfree.com), a leader in next-generation office productivity solutions, has announced that it is developing a new office productivity software called ThinkFree Mobile that is optimized for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipsets.

Qualcomm's Snapdragon platform offers a combination of ubiquitous connectivity, powerful processing performance and extended battery life. Snapdragon chipsets empower a new generation of mobile computing devices that provide untethered access to the Internet. ThinkFree Mobile will deliver a true cross-platform office environment that allows users to open and edit office documents on Snapdragon-based devices.

According to Marc Canel, vice president, computing and consumer products at Qualcomm CDMA Technologies, "Office productivity solutions are important to mobile computing and ThinkFree Mobile will give people the tools they need to increase their productivity on the go. ThinkFree is a significant contributor to our Snapdragon ecosystem and we are pleased to be working with them to expand the market for mobile computing devices."

The software also supports interaction with ThinkFree Online (http://www.thinkfree.com) – a Web office suite providing online, offline and mobile connectivity. Users can organize and manage their documents using ThinkFree Mobile on their PC and various Internet devices.

According to Su Jin Kim, CEO of ThinkFree, "The availability of mobile computing devices is on the rise, and that has also triggered increasing use of mobile office applications. The introduction of ThinkFree Mobile optimized for Snapdragon chipsets will allow ThinkFree to further its position in the office market and help create new business opportunities."

ThinkFree Mobile is expected to be released the first quarter of 2009, targeting manufacturers who are developing Snapdragon-based devices and personal computers. The software will also be bundled with Linux-based computing systems and notebook devices based on Snapdragon.
