Cynopsis Digital recommends THE wREPLACEMENTS as Website of the Day, Three Masked Peeps, "[put] their talent to good use producing an insider comedy about the biz. Entourage it ain't, but it's one of the better web shows out there, with excellent insights into the hectic world of writing for Hollywood."

While the Writer's Guild of America is on strike, studio executive, Bob Smiger (Scotty Servis) forces the Creator of Midwest Recurrence, David Stein (Robert August Olding) to bring his former mentor, Ike McGeezerstein (Marty Dusig) out of retirement to run an eclectic team of replacement writers in order to finish the last six episodes of the season.

Ike hires former boy-wonder and creator of the failed series Mushroom Sky, Trip Madison (Sky Paley) to be the team's leader for the duration of the season. Trip is forced to inspire and rein in the imaginations of, Vincent St. Clair (Russ Kingston), a 1970s Broadway sensation whose latest production is available on DVD -- Feline Romeo & Juliet, Marylou Rebarich (Alyssa Preston), a single gal that finds inspiration through her toy pony head Snickers, and Brian Armstrong (Theo Johnson), a guy who was the production assistant in charge of craft service before the strike.

Follow these scabs as they face studio notes, disappointments, mutiny, and the potential end of the career they never really had in the first place.

     Trip, "Vincent, stop being a douche and give me an emotional throughline."

     Vincent, "…then we flashback to her mother slapping her in their Ohio home."

     Marylou, "Her name's Snickers. She helps me find my voice."

     Brian, "Why don't we go really big, blow up a church, a synagogue, and a mosque. The
     non-sectarian bomber."

Three Masked Peeps created "The wReplacements" amid the impending WGA strike, finding a writer at a coffee shop in Burbank, they holed-up with Cherry Kool-Aid and Goobers to complete the shooting draft at 3:37pm Sunday, November 4, 2007.

Helmed by Masked Person B the series filmed over two days in January 2008.
