The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE), a leading non-profit organization serving and advancing the global business travel industry in 102 different countries, announces Jake Hower of Business Travel Management as one of their regional winners for the “Three Under 33” Awards.
The “Three Under 33” Awards was designed to identify and recognize the newest and brightest thinkers in the business travel industry. Candidates have to be around or under thirty-three years old, and have implemented a new idea, a fresh approach, or a new product or service in support of business travel sometime in the previous twelve months.
Jake Hower, Managing Director of Business Travel Management, is one of three regional winners of this award in the Asia and Australasia region. Mr. Hower wins the honor due to his innovation in having his client service representatives use video chat to provide a human touch to client service.
“Leveraging video technology allows Business Travel Management to both provide more human interaction and maintain cost savings for the small and medium businesses we serve,” explains Mr. Hower, “This allows us to pass savings on to our clients.”
Hower receives the award along with two other regional peers in the business travel space. Belinda Doery and Aditya Loomba rounds out the “Three Under 33” crowd in the Asia and Australasia region.
Doery is the Regional Meeting Strategy Lead of MSD in Australia. She receives the award for leading the implementation of a global, regional and local strategic meetings management programme in China, Singapore and Australia. Aditya Loomba is the Director of Business Development for ECOS Mobility Hospitality in India. He wins the award for his blending of best practices and creative problem solving to proactively anticipate and meet the demands of the dynamic ground transportation market in India.
About Business Travel Management
Business Travel Management is a division of Pan Australian Travel Pty Ltd, which has been in operation since the late 1950s. It is 100% owned and operated by two Australian directors, Chris Daniels and Jake Hower.
Chris and Jake came up with the idea for Business Travel Management after they realized that existing travel companies did not cater well to small and medium enterprises. Meanwhile, Pan Australian Travel was already servicing an existing “core” of SME clients, so it already had deep expertise in this market segment.
Therefore, Chris and Jake formed Business Travel Management in 2012 to cater to SME business travelers.
