SEO Junkies Gets Record Results for Tie Rack

Following the launch of their new website, little over a month ago, Tie Rack have beaten off the competition to grab some top positions in the search engine results pages. Going from global high street name to internet success can be harder than it looks for many leading brands, but with the help of SEO Junkies, Tie Rack are setting a trend and showing how to do it with ease.

Tie Rack enlisted the help of leading ecommerce company Advansys to help expand Tie Rack’s retail arm and give the world access to purchase their products online in early 2010. Knowing that with no previous ecommerce presence, competing with established websites especially in terms of search engine listings would be difficult, Advansys recommended sister company SEO Junkies to help establish a search presence for the brand.

SEO Junkies, search engine optimisation specialists, stepped up to the plate and undertook the challenge of pushing the Tie Rack website onto the first few pages of search engines, such as Google for keywords that potential consumers would be likely to search for. Prior to their new website launch in September 2010, Tie Rack had only a basic website that was almost entirely built in flash, it was made up of few pages and featured virtually no content. The previous Tie Rack website was therefore not appearing in search engines for anything other than the Tie Rack brand name and was not giving Tie Rack customer a perception that was on par with the global success that the brand had achieved on the high street.

SEO Junkies drew upon their knowledge and experience within the search engine optimisation (SEO) field and started the process of optimising the new Tie Rack website, prior to its launch to ensure that they were in the strongest possible position. SEO Junkies took a firm grip on the issues that held back results on the previous Tie Rack website, namely the lack of content amongst other essential SEO factors. Not only did SEO junkies take on the challenge of composing copy for the entire website structure, they also created in excess of one thousand product descriptions, all of which were unique and perfectly optimised.

In less than a week after the website launched, Tie Rack saw page one results for competitive keyword phrases such as “scarves”, “ladies pashmina”, “tie” and “high quality ties”, all of which remain in the top five positions on Google at the time of writing. In such a short period of time results such as these have rarely been seen and can only be put down to the effort and techniques applied by SEO Junkies.

Tie Rack stores are a familiar sight to international travellers and high street shoppers worldwide, famous for conquering the accessory market in travel hubs and shopping centres, the leading retailer had little presence online. Established in 1981 selling only men’s ties, Tie Rack has expanded its range during more than 20 years of business to include scarves, pashminas, bags, hats and other accessories. Tie Rack have been a prominent part of the history of retail in this country since their creation and now thanks to the technology behind them, they will continue to be part of retail trends moving forwards.
