We're really grateful to Tiger.co.uk for their fundraising efforts and the money they've raised
(PRWEB UK) 30 May 2012
Staff at Ipswich-based car insurance comparison website Tiger.co.uk today presented a cheque for over £340 to the Woolverstone Wish fund, a charity supporting the Woolverstone Wing outpatient oncology unit at The Ipswich Hospital. The charity was selected by staff of the company as a beneficiary of one of its monthly charity “dress down days”.
The cheque was presented to Vicky Barber by Alison Bray, a Call Centre Supervisor at Call Connection Ltd, owner of the Tiger.co.uk motor insurance comparison site. Alison knows how vital the facilities and care provided by the oncology unit in the Woolverstone Wing are, having had a close relation spending time as a patient there.
Jessie Caldwell a spokesperson for the company said: “We are delighted that once again our staff decided to support the important work that is carried out in the oncology unit at The Ipswich Hospital. Dress down days are a simple and fun way to raise funds and we would encourage other companies in the area to lend their support too”.
Vicky Barber for the Woolverstone Wish said: "We're really grateful to Tiger.co.uk for their fundraising efforts and the money they've raised will go towards potentially saving a life in the East of England."
