There's a lot of talk about a recession right now and that is why it's the ideal time to give some of your profit away.
In announcing its charitable giving program the company's founder Kevin Hodsdon stated, "Giving back is at the heart of the mission of our company. From our very first month in business we have sought opportunities to give back. I am very pleased that our success in 2007 and our estimated revenues for 2008 have made it possible to establish a monthly giving program."

Hodsdon would like to see small business around America make a big difference through charitable giving. "There's a lot of talk about a recession right now and that is why it's the ideal time to give some of your profit away." Hodsdon went on to point out that, "During a recession some of our needy are unwanted pets and the homeless. They seem to be the ones who suffer the most because donations seem to dry up. This is just plain wrong."

There are 25.5 million small businesses in America. If each of these businesses gave just $100.00 a month to the charity of their cause, there would be an influx of $255 billion each month to help out those in need.

Hodsdon's chosen cause are unwanted animals. "I've always had a soft spot for animals. Our pets are completely dependent on us for their care and it's a travesty when people let them down."

The Society for the Prevention to Cruelty to Animals is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
