Titan Poker's European Championship Kicks off with Huge Turnout
1,420 avid poker players participate in the opening event of Titan Poker's 14-day, $4.15 Million Guaranteed ECOOP III tournament series.
(PRWEB) November 27, 2008 -- Avid poker players from around the world joined in the online poker action in the opening event of Titan Poker's 14-day, $4,15 Million Guaranteed European Championship of Online Poker (ECOOP III), which kicked off on November 24. A total of 1,420 players participated in the opening No Limit Hold'em Tournament, with player IamBetterThanThou taking first prize of $59,640 and the coveted ECOOP bracelet.
Total prize money at the tournament was $284,000, well above the $250,000 guaranteed by Titan Poker and the iPoker Network.
Qualifying satellite tournaments for the ECOOP III events are being staged daily at Titan Poker. The ECOOP III tournaments offer a wide variety of poker games, including Texas No Limit Hold'em, Limit Hold'em, Pot Limit Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo Poker Buy-in amounts vary to meet every player's budget.
The series culminates with a $1,500,000 Guaranteed Prize Main Event on December 7.
Titan Poker's first ECOOP series was staged last December and players competed over ten days for their share of $2,500,000 in cash prizes. In May this year, ECOOP II was staged with a grand total of $3,600,000 in guaranteed prizes at the ten nights of tournaments.
The ECOOP III series has been extended to fourteen days with the larger prize pool in order to give Titan Poker players more opportunities to showcase their poker skill and play for huge cash rewards.
