As a result of the New York Giants win in Super Bowl XLVI, both Terry and Joe Montana have the unique distinction of winning four Super Bowls with no losses. Tom Brady of the New England Patriots was trying to become only the third quarterback with four Super Bowl victories.

Mr. Brady was close to joining Mr. Bradshaw and Joe Montana, (San Francisco 49ers) when a catch by a New York Giants player within inches of being out of bounds brought the game back to the Giants. Five minutes later, the Giants scored the winning touchdown and with it took Mr. Brady’s chance away. New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning was photographed with the prized Lombardi trophy raised in the air.

Mr. Bradshaw recently commented that he thought the Giants would lose. That comment brought stern consternation from Ann Mara, widow of New York Giants owner Wellington Mara.
