ToolSelect Takes to Indiegogo to Give Users a Chance to Invest in the Fastest-Growing Tool-Information Company in the World

ToolSelect, in an effort to meet its aggressive schedule of 150 new Featured Feedback unbiased tool-review videos in the first six months of 2013, is seeking investors through Indiegogo, the popular online crowd-sourced funding platform.

ToolSelect, the fastest-growing tool-information site in the world, is seeking investments from its current and future members through crowd funding, to put toward an aggressive schedule of new Featured Feedback videos in early 2013. ToolSelect’s campaign can be found on Indiegogo here.

Featured Feedback videos are one of the most popular aspects of ToolSelect, helping to reach more than 1.3 million views on YouTube in around a year’s time. The videos consist of a real tool user sharing his or her honest, unbiased opinion on a particular tool. The reviewer is given a tool to use in the field for some time, and then joins ToolSelect’s Gerry Barnaby, whose job is to facilitate the discussion, in the studio.

These videos are invaluable to the ToolSelect community, as they give viewers a legitimate look at how a tool performs and measures up to its claims. Each tool is used by a reviewer in a real-world environment, rather than in a lab, ensuring the review is pertinent to how a tool actually performs in its intended application. In an attempt to give its users more of what they want, ToolSelect is scheduling 150 new videos to be produced in the first six months of 2013. Those videos come with a cost.

“We have a tremendously passionate community that wants to be involved as much as they can,” says Stephen Glaesman, CEO of ToolSelect. “Investing through crowd funding is another way for them to take ownership of the community as a whole, helping us create more videos for the benefit of each of our members.”

Each Featured Feedback video costs a minimum of $678 to produce. To create the 150 videos on the schedule, ToolSelect needs a total of at least $101,700. In an effort to reach that amount and let users get involved on another level, ToolSelect is attempting to raise $52,500 of that amount through Indiegogo.

Indiegogo is a crowd-sourced funding platform that lets people with big ideas seek funding from others who believe in those ideas. ToolSelect members have already shown their loyalty and passion for the community, which continues to grow daily.
