Toolbox the fastest growing online tools retailer has today told us that it has launched its Power Tools EBay shop.

EBay is an online auction and shopping website in which people and businesses buy and sell a broad variety of goods and services worldwide. The majority of sales take place through a set-time auction format, but subsequent methods include a substantial segment of listings in the ‘Buy It Now’ category. EBay launched its services in the UK in 1999 and has proven to be a one stop shop for everything and anything.

Scott Morris, E-Commerce Manager of Toolbox said:

“I have been buying and selling on EBay personally since the launch back in 1999 so like to think I am somewhat of an expert when it comes to managing listings. Deciding to open an EBay store for Toolbox was an easy one, we have incredible prices on our products and huge stocks, meaning we are in a perfect position to launch into a new market. We want to offer excellent deals to as many customers as possible, and EBay is a perfect way to expand our already growing customer base. As with every EBay shop, it takes a great deal of time and effort to get everything set up and listing products on EBay and managing them is a full time job. We hope to see as much success with our EBay shop as we have done on the main toolbox website over the last few months since our launch in July 2009”

Toolbox have all the latest power tools on offer from all the biggest manufacturers, including, Draper, DeWalt, Bosch, Black & Decker, Silverline, Hitachi and Makita. Toolbox have recently over-hauled their website, changing the entire taxonomy so that it is more customer focussed and allows prospective customers to find the product they are looking for as quickly and easily as possible.

Lee Taylor, General Manager of Toolbox said:

“We offer our website customers such amazing deals, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to expand our market and open an EBay Shop. Everyone knows that EBay sells huge amounts of products everyday, and in some cases it is a customer’s first choice when looking for products, and we could not pass up the chance to advertise on EBay. To be honest sales have exceeded expectations, and our current best seller is a Draper 44159 3.6V Electric Screwdriver which we are knocking out at an incredibly low price at the moment, not surprising considering the price point and being so close to Christmas”

Toolbox is based in Evesham, Worcestershire and now employs 50 staff within their 2,000 sqm, purpose built warehouse and offices. The sister company Plumbworld had a turnover in 2008 in excess of £18 Million. Plumbworld was established in 1999 and was sold to The Grafton Group Plc in December 2006.
