The social fundraising platform, Rally, has entered into Beta. Users in Germany and Continental Europe may now employ the platform for fundraising, and are able to accept donations in Euro. The successful entry to the continent will soon be followed by the next step: expansion to Great Britain.

Rally.org, recently named one of the “Most Promising Companies for 2013” by the Forbes Magazine, enabled more than 23,000 individuals and associations to raise interest for their causes and to collect donations online.

The launch of the beta phase was celebrated at Rally.org’s European office, the incubator for social entrepreneurs. Even Tom Serres, CEO of the US parent company, travelled to Berlin to celebrate the success together with his team and a great number of guests. He pointed out that the parent company had chosen Berlin as location, because it offered very friendly start up conditions.

Rally.org has received legal advice and assistance from a team of lawyers of the Germany-based law firm WINHELLER, which has important expertise in advising non-profit organizations and also advises many IT companies. Together with his team, Stefan Winheller, German Attorney at Law, introduced Rally.org into the German respectively European donation sector, which differs significantly from the US market for donations. The law firm advised the US company on its entry to the German market and on various questions of tax, labor, banking and finance law, and trademarks.
