Iseman, Cunningham, Riester & Hyde, LLP partners Carol Hyde and Karen Sosler, along with associates Michael Deyo and Rachel Ryan, spoke at a seminar on corporate compliance sponsored by the northeast chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).

The seminar, which was held on September 22, 2011, at The Edison Club in Rexford, NY, focused on various regulations governing the employment of physicians by hospitals, as well as practical solutions to reducing the legal and financial risks posed by non-compliance. Carol Hyde discussed hospital-owned physician practices, and Rachel Ryan spoke about Stark law compliance and the new self-disclosure protocol. Later in the session, Karen Sosler’s presentation covered physician compliance with Medicare requirements for ordered ambulatory services, and Mike Deyo provided information on best practices for avoiding costly privacy breaches.
