Partner Fletcher Handley wins the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2012 Primerus Global Conference

The Handley Law Center is pleased to announce that Fletcher D. Handley, Jr. was awarded the Primerus Lifetime Achievement Award during the recent Primerus Global Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona. The award is given to Primerus members who have demonstrated exceptional service on behalf of the Primerus organization.

Primerus is a society of top-rated, independent, boutique law firms that have earned the right to display the Primerus seal of quality. As one of the most respected law firm societies, Primerus has become the size of some of the world's largest law firms, with over 1,000 attorneys in almost 200 individual law firms in more than 50 countries. Handley has been a member of Primerus since its founding in 1992. He is a former member of the Society’s Board of Directors, and currently serves on the Accreditation Board. “I am especially honored to receive this award“, Handley stated. “Primerus has enabled me to establish professional relationships and personal friendships, Worldwide over the past 20 years. It’s an honor to be recognized in this way by my fellow Primerus lawyers.”

Handley has practiced law in Oklahoma for almost 30 years, primarily in the areas of Personal Injury, Wrongful Death and Divorce and Custody. Much of his practice is focused on Auto Accidents and Insurance Law, including Dram Shop, or Tavern liability. His reputation in these areas led the American Bar Association to ask him to testify before the US Senate Commerce Committee in 1999 regarding a proposed National No-Fault Auto Insurance Bill. He is retired from the US Army Jag Corps and the Oklahoma Army National Guard, having served in the Armed Forces for almost 35 years, many as a Military Judge. He is rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell. He was selected as Oklahoma’s Outstanding Young Lawyer in 1984. He is a fellow of The American Bar Foundation and has been selected as an Oklahoma Super Lawyer annually since 2009. He is currently serving a two-year term as Chair of the Plaintiff’s Policy Task Force of the Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) of the American Bar Association.
