Reell Precision Manufacturing, a world leader in custom and standard torque hinges, has created an entirely new category of torque control hinges: the torque insert.
"Reell Torque Inserts are cosmetically appealing, providing pivoting capability without the visible appearance of a hinge. Because they require no fasteners they can be more cost effective and easier to assemble than traditional hinges." Click here to watch a video on how the Reell Torque Insert can be used.
TI100 Torque Inserts work well with die cast metals such as zinc, extruded metals and molded plastics. They are currently available in two package sizes, a 10 mm outside diameter which fits into a 14 mm cavity, and a 15 mm outside diameter, which fits into a 23 mm cavity.
Reell Torque Inserts are suitable for a variety of markets including consumer electronics, automotive, medical and dental. They have been used in a wide range of motion control applications such as:
- video screens
- small enclosures (e.g. toolboxes)
- pivoting devices (e.g. dental trays)
- lighting fixtures (providing horizontal or vertical rotation)
- medical arms and carts
All Reell Torque Inserts feature Reell's patented "ReellTorq" technology, which provides a smooth, quality feel, constant and equal torque in both directions, and industry leading quality and reliability.
Reell continues to lead the way in providing it's customers with high quality engineered solutions, offering a reliable and elegant means of transmitting torque with precise angular position control.
