Weighing in at just 4.8-pounds, both projectors are affordably priced and offer total cost of ownership saving features, such as filter-free DLP technology and an extended lamp life of 4,000 hours in economy mode. The projectors are priced under $900 (MSRP) and covered by Toshiba's three-year standard limited warranty2.

The TDP-XP1U and TDP-XP2U projectors offer 2,200 and 2,500 ANSI lumens, respectively and are suitable for digital home entertainment, video gaming, classroom installation and mobile business presentations. Both are filter-free DLP projectors, which keeps damaging dust particles from collecting on the projectors' imaging elements and assist to reduce the cost of ownership by requiring one less part to replace, less maintenance and by extending the projectors' lamp life.

"Toshiba continues to be an innovator in the projector industry, providing affordable mobile projection solutions that meet the needs of a wide variety of users," said Jeff Barney, vice president and general manager, Digital Products Division, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. "With the addition of the TDP-XP1U and the TDP-XP2U projectors, users on a tight budget can purchase these solutions for on the go presentations or for easy integration with AV network control systems in government, corporate and education markets due to each projector's RS232 control terminal."

Even the most demanding user will be impressed with the TDP-XP1U and TDP-XP2U projector's crisp and vivid display. These projectors feature DLP® BrilliantColor™ technology which utilizes up to six separate colors: red, blue, green cyan, yellow and magenta to allow for more accurate and vibrant colors that won't fade over time. Brilliant Color technology also enables a 50 percent increase in brightness of colors for both color fidelity and performance.
