Always looking to improve ways to serve customers, NJ based online retailer Total Home Supply has created a new way to link consumers who need assistance for product installation with qualified contractors in their area.

Our intention in creating the Installers Network is twofold. First, it helps our customers, many of whom are nervous about calling someone blindly, make an informed decision and second; it helps with the local economy.

Even for those in the home improvement business or the jack-of-all-trades weekend warrior, there will come a time after the purchase of an appliance, air conditioner or heating system, when it needs to be installed by a qualified technician. But for most people, finding a good installer is the hard part.

After listening to customers inquire daily if THS could recommend someone, Total Home Supply decided to create a network of qualified installers around the country. The THS Installer Finder is a new website where a customer enters a zip code, chooses the product needing installation from a drop-down menu, and the names of qualified installers appear.

Along with the name of the installer, other pertinent information is also displayed: address, phone number, website, distance away and the services provided. From that point, armed with choices, the consumer is in a better position to hire a contractor who will work with them on a price, schedule and the work to be undertaken.

As the consumer base widens, so is the need for more installers, and Total Home Supply is on the look-out for reputable and well-qualified personnel to meet the growing need. As such, the new installer website also contains an area for installers to register to become part of the THS program.

THS spokesman Mickey Luongo stated, “Our intention in creating the Installers Network is twofold. First, it helps our customers, many of whom are nervous about calling someone blindly, make an informed decision and second; it helps with the local economy.”
As the network grows, so will the ability to install more and different types of items. The current areas of expertise for the network are:

  •     Air Conditioning: Mini Split Systems, Window, Through-the Wall and Whole House Dehumidifiers
  •     Heating: Gas Heaters, Gas Logs, Commercial and Industrial Heaters
  •     Appliances
  •     Plumbing

In creating the Installers Network, another area of consumer need is addressed. In addition to offering a catalog of first-rate products and having a technical staff with a thorough knowledge of its entirety, Total Home Supply will now provide a secondary service to their customers, one that doesn’t end when the item is shipped.
