Battle Creek Unlimited and Nonprofit Alliance Enter Second Season Training Partnership after High Marks in Debut Series

Battle Creek Unlimited (BCU) and the Nonprofit Alliance today announce the continuation of the “Totally Technology” Series, which consists of classroom lectures, webinars and computer labs to support for-profit businesses and nonprofit organizations in the region. Registration for the Fall Series, which runs from September through December 2010, is open and available to the public at http://www.bc-connected.org/technology.

The free and low-cost technology training courses are designed to help professionals and organizations grow within today’s market of interactivity. The classrooms and computer labs are located at Miller College, which is a premier sponsor of the program.

The Fall technology courses have themes of online networking, low-cost IT tools and Internet security. These topics were suggested by participants of the Spring 2010 Totally Technology sessions. Sponsors of the series received high marks in surveys for those debut courses and decided to extend the series through Spring 2011.

The first Fall classroom seminar, entitled “Open Source Technology Management,” is scheduled for Tuesday, September 21 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Noon) at Miller College. This free session will introduce people to low-cost online technology applications that help businesses do everything from managing projects to invoicing customers. This seminar will provide the top online providers offering secure, reliable software and online tools.

The first Fall webinar course, offered by the Nonprofit Alliance, focuses on Technology Essentials for Nonprofit Organizations. The online course runs from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Tuesday, October 19. This course requires a $25 fee for members and $45 for non-members.
