Totally Technology Series Offers Battle Creek Community Business Course: 'How to be LinkedIn'

Battle Creek Unlimited (BCU) and the Non-Profit Alliance today announce the second class offering of their fall "Totally Technology" Series. This low-cost technology training course is designed to help professionals and organizations grow within today's market of interactivity.

Battle Creek Unlimited (BCU) and the Non-Profit Alliance today announce the second class offering of their fall "Totally Technology" Series. This low-cost technology training course is designed to help professionals and organizations grow within today's market of interactivity.

The class is scheduled for Tuesday, October 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Miller College's computer lab (room 107). This session titled 'How to be LinkedIn' will be a 90-minute computer lab. A $20 fee covers use of the computer lab and light refreshments.

Jeff Greer, principal of WonderWeb and a former employee of Kellogg and The Walt Disney Company, will be the guest speaker for this lab. Kalamazoo-based WonderWeb specializes in Writing/Editing for Online Readers, Web 2.0/Social Media, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing and Content Management.

Greer will take students through several parts of LinkedIn.com and teach tips for setting up profiles and building contact lists, and staying in touch with colleagues. LinkedIn also has new applications to accomplish many business tasks, from informing your network about business successes to looking for a job.
