Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) May 11, 2013
Touch Enterprises has announced the acquisition of industrial reseller Ventus Ventures.
The rational for the acquisition is to create economies of scale as well as a rapid industry penetration. The move was not unexpected, coming after Touch Enterprises said it was looking to raise $50 million in funding in April — with some of the money intended to be used “to acquire or invest in complementary businesses, products, services, technologies, or other assets”.
Touch Enterprises said the combined company will have far reaching portfolio of reseller properties including safety & security, outdoor sporting, medical & health care, electrical & power, automotive & transportation, maintenance & supplies, industrial & manufacturing, home improvement, chemicals & coatings materials handling, jewelry & accessories, hotel & restaurant, and electronics.
Announcing the news, Touch Enterpises COO Diego Ossa said: “We are very excited to announce that Touch Enterprises has completed this strategic acquisition which has taken the company into a market leader position. This is an excellent strategic fit with numerous opportunities for cross-promotion, integrating products, sales channels & business processes.”
