2010 is already a good year. Sales so far are excellent in comparison to the tight sales of 2009. It’s not unlikely to have someone come in to purchase a toy hauler. In 2009 it was more likely someone would come in to look at a toy hauler. Buying it was out of the question.

Pedata RV Center cites RV Dealer Survey provided by the Thompson Research Group indicating that dealers across the nation are seeing the “positive forecasts” in action on the lot and expecting the forecasted recovery to show itself in 2010. The toy hauler is back in action as consumers start to go beyond window shopping.

Dealers predominantly expected sales to be up in 2010:

-60.7% of dealers indicated they expected Class A sales to be up in comparison to 2009
-67.7% of dealers indicated they expected Class C sales to be up in comparison to 2009
-89.7% of dealers indicated they expected Towables sales to be up in comparison to 2009

These positive indications amongst the nation’s RV dealers are in sharp contrast to the definitely negative expectations prevailing the past 2 to 3 years. Dealers indicating they expected positive movement in sales in 2010 based their opinions on the following:

1.    Internal sales goals are being surpassed
2.    The last 4 months sales exceed last year
3.    Dealers are experiencing the best sales in 4 years

Gerard Pedata of Pedata RV Center said, “2010 is already a good year. Sales so far are excellent in comparison to the tight sales of 2009. It’s not unlikely to have someone come in to purchase a toy hauler. In 2009 it was more likely someone would come in to look at a toy hauler. Buying it was out of the question.”

Pedata RV Center offers an online directory of their full inventory with a wide selection of RVs for consumer purchase. Low overhead costs allowed the company to thrive during the tough year 2009 became and the company is seeing the “recovery of 2010” firsthand as more consumers are not just looking, but looking to buy.
