Colchester, Essex (PRWEB UK) 30 January 2013
TradePlumbing.co.uk, one of the UK's leading bathroom and kitchen plumbing retailers, is today celebrating the success of its Big Recruit, held yesterday in Colchester, Essex.
The roles in contention were Market researcher, Online Marketing and PR Manager, two growth marketers and two customer advisors
The recruitment drive with a difference was designed to attract only the best candidates and the job application was not as standard. As well as submitting their CV, candidates were asked to also submit a 2 minute video, answering questions.
Managing Director of TradePlumbing, Peter Clayton explains, "While we felt that a CV is an essential part of any job application, we also felt that they don't show peoples creative, imaginative and resourceful side. It is difficult to make a personal first impression on paper. So, along with sending us their CV we would asked potential candidates to create a short video (max two minutes) answering questions provided."
Once CVs were submitted and approved, candidates were formally invited to a live selection process event in Colchester, where they partook in a series of activities designed to test their technical skills, personal attributes and compatibility with the TradePlumbing team.
Awards were given to applicants that excelled in certain activities and the candidates with the overall best attributes have been invited for a two day trial at the TradePlumbing office to get first-hand experience of the job role, with a view to a job offer if all runs smoothly.
TradePlumbing.co.uk has been trading online since 2006 and was launched as a result of the emerging eCommerce trend and the owner's family history in the field of running Plumbing and Heating Merchants and Showrooms. TradePlumbing stocks a wide selection of shower enclosures and cheap bathroom suites at unbeatable prices, all backed with excellent customer service.
