Kinetic theTechnologyAgency expanded in 2011 with 82 new hires to support the translation and localization needs of its corporate clients. Continued staff growth is planned for 2012 as additional clients come on board and existing clients’ various departments adopt the Kinetic translation management system (TMS) customized for their industry, brand and markets.

This impressive growth is due to Kinetic’s innovative technology that enables corporations to translate, publish, personalize and deliver content to global markets simultaneously, with brand consistency. Ray Schuhmann, president of Kinetic theTechnologyAgency, said, “Our clients tell us our unique technology and services are providing them significant cost savings, internal efficiencies and improved speed to foreign markets.” He said the translation management system automatically builds a “corporate translation memory” of previously translated content, for each specific client. This provides for greater consistency, tone of voice and branding accuracy.

Kinetic’s translation management system electronically pre-translates documents; creates and manages workflow and approval processes, accelerating time-to-market; routes the documents to pre-approved translation vendors and to in-country reviewers; provides status reports; adds new languages and keeps track of each client’s list of project managers, translation vendors and corporate reviewers, according to country, language and subject matter.

In 2011 a Fortune 6 corporation engaged Kinetic’s expertise to streamline their global communications. During the year, ten of the new client’s business units transitioned to Kinetic’s system. Documents are now submitted from around the world to an enterprise-class TMS, with centralized translation memory.

During 2011 Kinetic also added several other corporations to their client list. The newly hired employees – who Schuhmann said are carefully screened for accuracy and technology skills – are focused primarily on document preparation leading to document translations.

Kinetic’s centralized TMS enables vendor independence by providing a unique way to leverage all previously translated content, no matter what vendor was used, to all new content being translated. Schuhmann explained, “Our clients never have to pay a translator to translate the same words and phrases twice, let alone dozens of times, as is often the case without this technology. Our system allows them to customize and localize all their materials and increase their relevance in foreign marketplaces.”
