Prominent provider of aftermarket Jeep parts and Jeep accessories, 4WD, has started carrying Trasharoo bags to store waste and gear securely out on the trail. Designed to strap on to vehicle spare tires and elsewhere, they are made of durable canvas and are capable of carrying up to 50 lbs of weight. Trasharoo bags can be used to store items like wetsuits, muddy gear, diapers, firewood and trash.

Trasharoo President/CEO, Dave Druck, noticed the idea of the "wheelie bin" or spare tire rubbish bag was big in other countries, but hadn’t caught on here in the States. “I always wanted one for my own rig, so I knew there had to be others,” he says. “I started Trasharoo on a whim.”

The company has teamed up with land-use organizations to show the general public that they are serious about what they do. These off-road industry allies include Tread Lightly!, the Blue Ribbon Coalition, CORVA, the Rubicon Trail Foundation and others.

Trasharoo has designed limited edition bags for the organizations and the small premium they charge raises money for them.
“Tread Lightly! is proud to partner with Trasharoo to help make eco-friendly practices a must out on the trail,” says Lori McCullough, Tread Lightly! Executive Director. “The product is convenient to use and we offer customized ones with Tread Lightly! embroidered patches through our store.”

“Off-roaders, hunters and families on road trips with diapers all carry the same concern - where will I put my unwanted trash?” says Druck. “4WD is a great fit to sell the Trasharoo because it brings even more awareness for fellow off-road enthusiasts out there to pack out what they bring in and hopefully pick up more than they intended to.”

4WD Director of Sales Sean Campbell believes the spare tire trash bag is a must-have accessory for every Jeep. “Built with durability and functionality in mind, Trasharoo helps jeepers apply the principles of ‘Pack in, pack out’ and ensures they tread lightly anywhere their Jeep takes them."

Since its inception in 2008, Trasharoo has grown 25% every year. The company offers other off-road products including gear and apparel and they have another product entering the market made for the hi-lift. The JakJaw Hi-Lift Adapter is a recovery tool that brings safety to the lifting operation. It's made in the USA, laser cut, machine-formed and powder coated.
