According to Melissa Kendall, founder and president of BringFido.com, "Attending events is a real treat for dogs, but it's often even more fun for the owners." And since 70% of the dog events featured on BringFido.com benefit charities such as Animal Friends, Helen Woodward Animal Center, Greythound Guardians, North Shore Animal League and other local humane societies, Melissa says "Attending events is also a great way for dog owners to help homeless pets in their community."

BringFido.com aims to create the largest online database of dog friendly events, and actively searches for new events to post daily. They also encourage individuals and rescue groups alike to submit dog events at http://www.bringfido.com/eventsubmit.htm. It's free to post, and BringFido.com will even send organizers a box of their WOOF bumper stickers for inclusion in doggie bags, if requested.

About BringFido.com:
Founded in April 2005, BringFido.com is a dog friendly travel directory that provides online reservations at more than 15,000 pet friendly hotels in the U.S. through a partnership with Travelocity.com. When making vacation plans, dog owners can look to BringFido.com for detailed information on both airline and hotel pet policies - including any fees, weight restrictions, and special amenities available for pets. BringFido.com also features dozens of destination guides that provide travelers with canine companions the scoop on everything from dog beaches and parks to outdoor restaurants. For more information, please visit www.bringfido.com.

About Melissa Kendall:
Melissa Kendall is the president and founder of BringFido.com. She created the website after being unable to book a pet friendly hotel room to attend a friend's wedding in Cape Cod. After calling several hotels that were said to be "pet friendly" on what was once her favorite travel site, and finding that none of the hotels actually allowed pets, she set out to create an online directory that focused solely on pet travel and made it easy for dog owners to find accurate information on hotel pet policies. Melissa holds a B.S. in Management Science from MIT and currently resides in South Florida with her dog, Rocco.
