With a number of different events scheduled to run alongside various festivals, now could be the best time to look into booking cheap Caribbean holidays for the chance to experience contemporary Caribbean culture, and get some late winter sun.

Richard Bray of online travel specialists Travelmatch says: “November in the Caribbean is set to be a very busy time for locals and tourists, as various activities, holidays and events are planned throughout the month. The great thing about taking a Caribbean holiday in November is that there’s so much to do, and there’s so much planned, so everyone can find something that best suits their interests.”

While Aruba holidays are traditionally popular with followers of the annual Aruba Heineken Catamaran Regatta, which has been postponed until 2011, the island still offers a host of other opportunities for holidaymakers - such as the weekly Bon Bini Festival, which celebrates Aruba’s folklore, and the Aruba Beach Tennis International Championships, which is open to professionals and amateurs.

Bray continues: “The upcoming activities in the Caribbean are rich and varied, and every island has something different that’s easily accessible to travellers. St Lucia holidays in November sees the St Lucia Billfish Tournament which runs from 31 Oct -5 Nov, which sees over 40 top anglers complete to win big money. It’s also important to remember that November is outside of the peak tourist season in the Caribbean, means big discounts on accommodation, travel, dining, and many more luxuries.”
