Lisbon has been revealed as the best value European city for UK holidaymakers to who want to make their travel money go further, according to research from Post Office Travel Money.

As sterling shows a strengthening against the euro Post Office Travel Money research has revealed that Lisbon offers cheapest tourist prices for UK holidaymakers spending their foreign currency in the eurozone. For example, the cost of buying 11 typical city break items in Lisbon - including drinks, meals, accommodation, sightseeing and transport - was the equivalent of £122.53. UK holidaymakers spending their foreign currency in Paris or Rome could find these items cost twice as much.

Post Office Travel Money recommends that holidaymakers looking for best value for their travel money should plan ahead by shopping around for their foreign currency to make sure they get the best deal on their foreign currency to help their holiday cash go further.
