During last week’s International Cash Management Trends webinar, co-presented by Kyriba and GTNews, 72% of attendees indicated that the EuroZone and Counterparty Risk were the most impactful trends to their treasury operations. Bob Stark, VP Strategy for Kyriba, commented, “Treasury professionals in the UK and US see a clear linkage between macroeconomic issues and the resulting risks that these events create for their daily operations. In today’s environment, cash management and risk management are tied together. Treasury teams require complete visibility across cash, exposures, and financial positions in order to be effective at protecting cash and financial assets.” This point was supported by further responses from attendees, 64% of whom expect to adopt more technology in 2013 to support their cash and treasury operations. Stark added, “Unfortunately treasury isn’t getting simpler. More complex information and analysis is expected of treasury teams as they are continually asked to act as a true business partner to the organization”.
