Trinity Consultants Hires Environmental Veteran to Open Boston Office

Trinity Consultants, an international environmental consulting firm that specializes in industrial air quality issues, has hired 30-year environmental veteran Anthony (Tony) Colella, to head its newest office in Boston. Mr. Colella, a Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP), has spent the past 30 years in the consulting industry, assisting large industrial companies with their air quality regulatory challenges. Most recently, he was the vice president of air quality services in the Americas for a leading multinational engineering and design firm. At Trinity, he will be responsible for assisting clients in the Northeast with issues such as increasingly stringent ambient air quality standards, new greenhouse gas regulations, and evolving emissions standards on solid fuels used in boilers and incinerators. He will also focus on business development in the region and will manage project staff locally and for key corporate accounts.

Mr. Colella has extensive expertise in issues facing the steel, agri-business, electric power, and paper industries for whom he has addressed the full range of air issues, including emissions quantification and reporting, permitting strategy and compliance, control technology analyses, and air toxics compliance; as well as multimedia issues associated with water use/discharge, oil storage, and noise. He has managed overall environmental permitting of new facilities, including steel and paper mills, various manufacturing plants, combined and simple cycle power plants and fully integrated wastewater treatment facility, as well as process modifications to improve operational flexibility of existing facilities. Mr. Colella earned a B.S. in Meteorology from the University of Massachusetts (Lowell) and he is affiliated with the Air & Waste Management Association (AWMA) and the Council of Industrial Boiler Owners (CIBO).
