Trintech, a leading global provider of integrated software solutions for the Last Mile of Finance, has announced a new four-part webinar series titled “Last Mile of Finance Leading Practices.” The Last Mile of Finance refers to the series of steps that occur from subsidiary close to the group publication of financial information to key stakeholders and regulators.

For many companies, the current state of the Last Mile is a highly challenging process due to manually intensive and intertwining activities which are also subject to increasing change in regulations. As such, the “Last Mile of Finance Leading Practices” series focuses on practical steps for improving process performance across Financial Close activities. The webinar series begins with the first in series Tuesday, February 28th, with a new webinar following each month until the series in concluded in May.

Each white paper includes defined process steps and checklists for automating and optimizing all aspects of Financial Close. Additionally, they contain case studies with examples of how leading companies are improving enterprise-wide transparency and control within their organizations.

1.    Analyze – Improving transparency and visibility across the organization and its interdependencies
2.    Strategize – Automating manual processes, such as high-volume transaction reconciliations, leaving more time to manage exceptions, assess controls breakdowns, and analyze patterns in those exceptions
3.    Energize – Instituting real time metrics and internal controls allows you to step back, examine the finance function from a different perspective, and identify potential risks to the business – particularly when evaluating opportunities for expansion of Shared Service Centers.
