TriTech Software Systems, the leading provider of public safety and medical transport solutions, announces that Dane County has signed a contract for its VisiCAD computer-aided dispatch (CAD) and VisiNet Mobile data solutions. TriTech will provide its state-of-the-art CAD and Mobile system to facilitate efficient and effective communications and emergency response to the citizens of Dane County, Wisconsin.

“A computer-aided dispatch system is the cornerstone of our communications center,” says Dane County Public Safety Communications Director John Dejung. “Our existing CAD system is over 20 years old, and our team is excited about implementing new technology which will modernize our center enabling us to improve the level of service we can provide to citizens of Dane County and our law enforcement, fire and emergency medical responders.”

The replacement of their CAD system was one of the recommendations of a 2009 audit conducted for the Dane County Board. After a thorough evaluation of proposals and demonstrations, a cross-functional team selected TriTech’s VisiCAD and VisiNet Mobile solutions. Both solutions feature a user-friendly interface that is easily configurable to suit law, fire and EMS agency preferences. The combined solution provides a comprehensive incident and unit management system that allows Dane County communicators to efficiently manage their service area, incidents and resources to make informed and timely decisions.
