Courtyard by Marriott Tysons Corner hotel Hosts Free Wedding as a Result of a Facebook Contest

The Courtyard by Marriott Tysons Corner hotel in McLean, VA recently hosted a free wedding reception for the winners of their Facebook contest, Tom and Jennifer Poliseno.

The contest was a random drawing of qualified engaged couples in the DC metro area and was promoted primarily on Facebook through Facebook ads and posts on WashDChotels’ Facebook page.

With a combined 5,000 square feet of meeting and event space, the Courtyard Tysons Corner is ideal for small, intimate weddings and events, such as the Poliseno-Diglio wedding with close to 100 guests. The Courtyard Tysons Corner, one of several Tysons Corner hotels with wedding event space, is not very well-known as a wedding venue in northern Virginia, but after great events like this wedding that could be changing very soon.

Even the wedding photographer, Heather Reed of Reed’s Photography, was impressed by the venue, saying, “I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings and that was the best food I’ve ever had at a wedding. Located in the heart of Tysons Corner, immediately across the street from the Tysons Galleria and the Tysons Corner Center malls, and less than one mile off of I-495, this McLean hotel is perfectly located for a northern Virginia wedding reception venue.

As for the next free wedding giveaway at the Courtyard Tysons Corner, according to their General Manager, it may be sooner than expected. “This event was such a success; we may have to do something similar sooner than later, says General Manager, Sandra Stulen. “Facebook is such a cool way for us to attract engaged couples and interact with them in a way that is easy, unique, and fun. Plus our venue is perfect for smaller, intimate weddings, so it’s just a matter of getting that message out there, and Facebook is a great way to do that.”
