uFinancial Partners with Junior Achievement to Provide Free Financial Education to Area Youth and Adults

Local financial services firm, uFinancial, announced its partnership with Junior Achievement of South Central PA, sponsoring two free, real-world financial simulations today called, “The uFinancial Challenge” for students ages 14 and up and their parents.

The uFinancial Challenge was a mini-simulation of JA’s nationally-sponsored Finance Park that teaches real-life lessons about personal finance and household budgeting. During the sessions participants explored topics such as credit and debt, personal finance, and providing for a family. This partnership kick-off event was held at Junior Achievement’s Finance Park, headquartered in York, PA, in two separate sessions today, from 10:30 am until 4:30 pm.

Junior Achievement is dedicated to educating students K-12 about work readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship through experiential, hands-on programs. The Finance Park program targets students from the Junior High level and older, and provides in-class curriculum to students across Central PA, culminating the learning unit with a field trip to JA’s headquarters for a real-life simulation of the coursework.
